Ceredigion Museum

Hello, I'm Medwyn the Mole. I'm also a time travelling detective. Some moles dig for worms, I dig through time solving crimes as I go.

This webpage provides you, the teachers with details of museum visits and services offered to schools. All you need to do to book a visit, make a query or just find some resources is to look on this website!

Did you know that as well as the Coliseum, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion Museum has two other venues which you can visit?

There is a reconstructed Victorian school room in the old church school at the Red Kite Centre and Museum, Tregaron and there's also a thatched cottage at Llanon. Both may be visited by appointment only.

Did you know that Ceredigion Museum has a Collections Web Site? There are over 1500 illustrated pages of information about the museum displays and collections including a virtual tour of the museum on a separate site.See further.

For more schools information you can contact Anna Evans, the Education Officer at Ceredigion Museum

The Museum is open Monday to Saturday throughout the year except Good Friday and Christmas week.

April to September

  • Monday to Saturday, 10.00 - 5.00

October to March

  • Monday to Saturday 12.00 - 4.30

School groups are welcome to visit the Coliseum before public opening times by appointment. This can be very beneficial during the winter months when schools would have the building to themselves.

Admission is free
